Join other MCC Volunteers who will travel south, four hours to Appalachian country to
assist
our neighbors there and help to create opportunities for better lives though
Christ-centered
service.
Leaving from MCC at 12:30 PM on Friday, October 9th, our caravan of His servants will
travel
by car down I-75, arriving at the Settlement in time for an evening meal at 5:30 P,
Saturday
informational briefing followed by a devotional service.
Up-and-at'm Saturday morning with a 7:30 breakfast, after which the groups will spread
out
and tackle multiple project options both in the surrounding community and on the
Settlement's campus. We will be working thru the day with a box lunch on project site.
We
will be making our return trip back to Cincinnati on Saturday, late afternoon. Our ETA
back
here in Cincy at 8:30 to 9 PM.
As we serve as witnesses for God's love for special people, there are tasks for ALL
skill
levels of our MCC crew. From painting, carpentry or floor covering tasks, please pick
your
preferred project below and indicate your 1ST, 2ND & 3RD choices in the registration
section.
If you feel that you could lead, please that particular project indicate that as well.
All project materials will be delivered to the project site.
Bringing your own work tools is recommended but some 'loaner tools' at available at the
campus tool shop.
Lodging facilities have bedding but you may want to bring favorite pillow.
Please join us in stepping out of our 'Cincinnati Comfort Zone' and help us serve as
'the
hands and feet of Jesus' to our Appalachian neighbors.
